Bella Villa – Rammed Earth House Design

January 2, 2010 by admin

Bella Villa Rammed Earth House

Originally we were imagining Bella Villa Rammed Earth House to be built in Italy or southern France, but it could be built in a lot of different places. This home design is all about living the good life in a sustainable way; Healthy home, relaxation, friends, fresh herbs, good food from the garden and is located on 2 or more acres, ideally a farm with views of rolling hills…hey, why not? The arches are Mediterranean inspired and give the home an elegant look that is complimented by the gracefully sweeping roof.  In addition to the energy efficient insulated rammed earth walls, the home is off the grid with solar electric and hot water heating. This house is designed primarily for 2 people and a visiting guest or 1 child.

A view of the cozy courtyard with table and chairs. There is a small circular fountain that has water dripping from the top of the archway for ambiance.

The fountain is a nice feature that also works well with the flow of the driveway.

Bella-Villa-House-Floor-plan

Bella Villa floor plan. 2 bedroom, 1 bath and huge open concept kitchen/living/dine area. The Master bedroom has a romantic soaker tub in it and is so large it could easily have a en suite bathroom if desired. The second bedroom is currently designed as a office/guest room and has a great view to the south and doors opening into the courtyard area. A great house to live the good life in!
